Your Image

When you go anywhere you might meet other professionals who might be in your sphere of influence, be sure you dress the part. There’s no reason to ever dress less than professionally. I always dress at least one step above what I believe others might dress. If most attendees at an event are dressed casually, I dress to the semi professional level.

If you look like you walked out of 1980, how do you think your audience will perceive you as a person who is up-to-date, creative and innovative? Make sure that you keep your personal image current. Get a new hairstyle every couple of years, be sure you keep your wardrobe up to date and your nails manicured, keep your ears and eyebrows trimmed and make every detail about your appearance is first class.

When you are speaking, be sure your language is consistent with your image as a speaker. If you are speaking about business, be sure you speak in professional terms. If your topic is spirituality, your language, image and everything about you should speak of your spiritual interests.

Speakers need to always be prompt and by prompt I mean showing up early to everything. It is all part of the image you portray.
